Located in the picturesque Moreno Valley, just a half hour east of Taos, Angel Fire sits on the valley floor at 8,420 feet with surrounding mountains rising to nearly 11,000 feet. At the northern end of the valley, Wheeler Peak (New Mexico’s highest) sits at a majestic 13,161 feet.
Every season in Angel Fire offers new temptations. Our perfect weather is nice and snowy in the winter, and never hot in the summer. We have sunny days and amazingly starry nights. Late spring and summer bring armloads of wildflowers, while fall offers mountainsides of golden aspens.

In spring, summer and fall, the mountainsides form a backdrop of colorful meadows or brilliant golden aspens, and the weather’s always perfect: nice and sunny, never hot, never humid.
Angel Fire offers golfing, horseback adventures, mountain biking, fishing and hiking. Angel Fire Resort Golf Course and Country Club offers one of the Southwest’s best par 72, 18-hole golf courses. The challenging PGA-rated course boasts 6,600 yards of high altitude playing with incredible views. When you are finished on the links, relax and enjoy the new state-of-the-art Angel Fire Country Club. Angel Fire has also become one of the top ten mountain biking areas in the US.
