Eagle Nest Lake
Eagle Nest, a popular year-round recreation center, came into being one year after the completion of Eagle Nest Dam in 1919. Eagle Nest Lake State Park is the home to some of the best trout fishing in the state. Cruises on the lake are available every summer during the day or try a sunset cruise for peak wildlife viewing. In the winter, visitors can enjoy activities from ice fishing to sledding. In the autumn, the changing colors of the aspen provide a lively setting for guests at the many area lodges.
