Nara Visa
Nara Visa was founded in 1901 when it became a water station and cattle shipping point on the CRI&P Railroad. The first settlers lived in a boxcar but by 1902 Nara Visa had two buildings! Nara Visa Creek flows through the village. In the 1880s a sheepherder named Narvaez lived here. English-speaking settlers corrupted the name to Nara Vista.
